Com ES Genetic ESC 2021
These musicians are participating
Saturday (May 15) “Free ESC” 2021 will take place in Prosiben. These participants will compete in the second edition of the competition.
Using “Community ESC” 2021, the German replacement format for the Eurovision Song Contest will enter the second round on Saturday evening (May 15, at 8:15 pm in Prosiben). Entertainer Stefan Robb (54) started the competition last year to replace the failed Eurovision song contest.
Nico Santos (28) won the match for Spain with the song “Like I Love You”. Presenter Steven Gotzen (48) and ESC winner Conchita Worst (32) will moderate this year’s show again. These are the 16 countries participating this year.

This year again 16 musicians will compete for their home country. Prosiben Station announced the candidates, including several prominent artists, at a digital press conference on Wednesday (May 12). Singer and lyricist Milov (39, “Io Technology”) enters the competition for Belgium. Star DJ Hughes, 33, who hit the screens in 2018 with the film “Bella Xiao”, represents his native France.
England started with the folk band Mike Oaks (“Forget Tomorrow”) and sent neighboring Scotland’s Amy McDonald (33, “This is Life”) into the competition. Former Rimon front man Rhea Garvey (48, “The One”) represents his native Ireland.
“Bloomchen” (41), a singer named Jasmine Wagner, represents her mother’s native Croatia. Former Monroe singer Mandy Capristo (31, “enough”) is competing for Italy. Singer-songwriter Danny Vera, 43, will perform for the Netherlands on Saturday evening. Poland has very special representatives: Schlager du Fantasy (“10,000 colorful balloons”).
Juan Daniel from Offenback, who caused a summer hit in 2020 with his film “Buenos Aires”, will compete last year’s winner Saturday for Spain. Greece will be represented by singer Sothiria (34, “sometimes”), while former pop star Elif (28, “You Only Love Me”) will compete for Turkey.
Ben Dolly is also part of the “Genetic ESC”
After participating in last year’s “Eurovision Song Contest”, German ESC hopeful 2020, Ben Dolik (24), will compete in the “Free ESC” for his home country Slovenia. Host Conchita Wurst expects “good opportunities” for the young Austrian artist Mathieu (22), who appeared in “The Voice of Germany” in 2016. Switzerland sends soul singer and Swiss “Sing My Song” host Seven (42) to the competition.
As in 2020, the German candidate will remain secretive this year until the show airs. “A real legend is competing for Germany. He also looks incredibly beautiful,” says show producer Stefan Robb. Rob himself will work behind the scenes.
