Equestrian Sports – Show Jumping Riders Disappointed: Only Sixth in Nations Cup – Sports

Barcelona (DPA) – After a great start, the German show jumpers still lost hope in the final of the Nations Cup in Barcelona.

National coach Otto Becker’s team finished sixth in the 1.25 million Test and was able to settle for ,000 75,000. The first was the Dutch with zero penalty points. The quartet can expect 7 417,000. Ireland were just one penalty point worse, with third-placed Belgians crossing the finish line with four penalties.

“Bitter Fruit”

The German team advanced to the final round of the first eight on Friday as qualifying winners. But the final ended with 13 penalty points. “Of course it was a bitter result,” said national coach Becker. “We’ll pick it up now and look forward to it. It was the end of a very intense season.”

Ironically, world number one Daniel Dസർser, who lives in Belgium, scored eleven penalty points in the Killer Queen – including rejection – for the cancellation result. Two weeks ago, the couple won the Grand Prix at the CHIO in Aachen.

European champion Andre Theme from Plavu Am Sea was the only German rider to ride his horse without a hitch. David Willie from Marburg had two drops with a C-four, and Christian Ahlman from Marl scored five penalty points with Clintrex.
