Moscow blamed London

On September 26, large leaks were discovered in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines, two in Sweden and two in Denmark. The Swedish prosecutor’s office, which opened an investigation a few days after the incident, favors the coup thesis. German and Danish judicial authorities are also participating in the investigation.

Since the conflict in Ukraine, two pipelines linking Russia to Germany have been at the heart of geopolitical tensions, following Moscow’s decision to cut gas supplies to Europe in retaliation for Western sanctions.

The origin of the blasts remains a mystery, however, with Moscow and Washington denying any responsibility. The Kremlin blamed London on Monday, saying the coup was “systematic and coordinated”.
