Connor McGregor arrested for reckless driving in Ireland

UFC superstar Conor McGregor has been arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief for driving in Ireland on Tuesday.

According to the Irish Independent, McGregor was arrested by West Dublin guards while driving the $ 187,000 Bentley Continental.

McGregor was reportedly dragged by police, who later confiscated his car and arrested him on multiple driving charges. He was eventually charged with a dangerous driving offense, punishable by a fine and up to six months in prison.

The former UFC two-division champion was released on bail after pleading guilty and the vehicle was later returned to him.

This is not the first time McGregor has fallen into hot water due to his driving habits in Ireland.

He had previously lost his license in 2018 and was fined for driving at speeds of up to 154km / h in the 100km / h area. The charge comes a year after McGregor was fined about $ 440 for speeding.

McGregor is currently undergoing rehabilitation at his home in Ireland after suffering a broken leg in the final battle against Dustin Poyer in July 2021.

The 33-year-old fighter is working hard for his recovery and hopes to fight again before the end of the year.
