Congress alleges PM-CARES fund acquired donations from Chinese companies

Amid political mudslinging involving the opposition Congress and the ruling BJP on the problem of donations from Chinese firms, the Congress has alleged that PM-CARES fund also been given donations from Chinese corporations.

Senior Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi mentioned “Why has PM Modi received Chinese money in the PM-CARES fund, despite the overt Chinese hostilities? Has PM been given Rs 7 crore from the controversial business Huawei? Does Huawei have a direct relationship with People’s Liberation Military of China? Has the Chinese enterprise proudly owning TikTok facilitated a donation of Rs 30 crore to the controversial PM CARES Fund?”

The Congress has also questioned if Paytm, which has 38 per cent Chinese ownership, specified Rs 100 crore, Oppo 1 crore and Xiaomi Rs 15 crore in the fund.

“Has Key Minister Modi diverted the donations obtained in PMNRF to the controversial PM-CARES Fund and how lots of hundred crores is the sum diverted?” Singhvi requested.

Singhvi claimed experiences recommend that as on May well 20, 2020, the fund obtained Rs 9,678 crore. “The stunning portion is that however Chinese forces have transgressed into our territory, Prime Minister has acquired the cash in the fund from Chinese corporations,” he alleged.

“No just one understands the constitutional or operational framework of the PM-CARES fund and how it is managed or dollars was provided to it utilised. The fund is not even matter to audit by any public authority together with CAG. PMO has gone to the extent of expressing this fund is not a general public authority.”

“The fund appears to be only operate by the Key Minister in an opaque and solution fashion with zero transparency and zero accountability,” claimed Singhvi.

The Congress spokesperson questioned that “if the Key Minister of India will compromise his position by accepting donations of hundreds of crores from Chinese companies in the controversial and opaque fund, then how will he protect the place versus Chinese aggression?”

The Congress alleged that the Modi government continues to sidestep the brazen Chinese transgressions and occupation of Indian territory by Chinese forces in Galwan Valley, Pangong Tso lake location, Very hot Springs and Depsang plains up to Y-Junction.

“Key Minister Narendra Modi unashamedly misleads the country and serves the sinister agenda of the Chinese by proclaiming that China has never intruded into the Indian territory, nor is it in profession of any territory,” alleged Singhvi.

The Congress leader stated that the social gathering will hold inquiring these issues in the national fascination.
