Conductor and violinist Fiona Monbet’s new album Maelstrom

Franco-Irish violinist, composer and conductor Fiona Monbet has been living with the orchestra National de Bretagne since September 2020, and is set to present her third album, MailStrom, which will be released at the end of January on the Crescendo label.

Fiona Monbet He is a Franco-Irish artist, violinist, composer and conductor. With many records to his credit: Osiol In 2013 et Smuggling In 2018, his next album MailstromIt will be released on January 28, 2022 under the Crescendo label. For his 3rd Opus, title Mailstrom (Like this powerful hurricane known from the Norwegian coast), Fiona Monbett wanted to hear all of her different musical aspects that marked her career. Nurtured by many streams from classical music to jazz, this musician has always sought to blend a very broad musical spectrum.

From September 2020, Fiona was housed inside the apartmentBrittany’s National Orchestra. They have performed with the orchestra on a number of projects (Intercultural Festival of Lorient, Opera of Rennes, National Theater of Brittany, Festival of Saint-Denis).

Fiona Monbet is also a music director Company Miroirs Etendus. For a number of years, they have directed in France (Rouen Opera, Imperial Theater of Compigne, Lille Opera) and abroad (Ireland, Germany). In 2021/22, Fiona Monbet will perform Michael Galen’s opera elsewhere (Abbey Theater, Dublin). They will also make their debuts with the Bordeaux Aquitaine National Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in Wales, the opera and the orchestra National de Montpellier Occitani.
