Commonwealth gold medalist Sanjita Chanu to receive Arjuna Award requires reparations from IWF

The Intercontinental Weightlifting Federation (IWF) has to do better than just the e-mail that they despatched to tell Sanjita Chanu that she has been cleared of doping expenses, the 2018 Commonwealth Online games gold medallist claimed.

“I was educated on June 10 by using an e-mail that the IWF is dropping the fees from me. I usually knew I did very little completely wrong, this was their miscalculation. Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWLF) Secretary Standard Sahdev Yadav confirmed that Chanu is set to gain the Arjuna Award that she was intended to win in 2018 but she suggests her possibilities of qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics has been sabotaged thanks the IWF’s callous handling of the subject. Chanu mentioned that she wants to now take part in any competitiveness that would arrive her way but she won’t know how she will prepare for them. “I have stayed away a small little bit from lifting these earlier two several years and now with the lockdown I you should not know how I will prepare myself. I don’t actually have any gear at household. Ideally anything arrives up,” she reported.
