Castelnaudise attended the preparatory course for the French teams.

Cocoboys and Cocogirls from Castelnaud’s tag rugby traveled to CREPS in Aix-en-Provence from October 7 to 9 to participate in the selection for the future French team in the discipline. Results will be available within two months.

The French Tag Rugby Federation is gearing up for the Tag Rugby World Cup 2023 in Ireland from August 2 to 5. About 130 players, divided into 5 categories (Mixed U21, Female 40, Male 50, Mixed 22-39) met for this preparation and pre-selection course.

Fueled by strong motivation, the Castelnau team consists of 5 players and 3 players grouped in 3 categories (Women 40, Men 40, Mixed Senior 22-39). After attending the training course, in a very friendly atmosphere, the tournaments took place on Sunday 9th October. Each section played 3 matches.

“This gathering enabled us to highlight the different levels and to see the cohesiveness of the team and the behavior of everyone on and off the field. This is a critical approach to getting selected. This is it We have a 1st. It is very interesting, formative and kindly done. We really enjoyed it. Along with this preparatory course, there was also a refereeing course led by an international referee, which I was able to attend,” said Fanny Gibert on her return.

Memories abound, stars in their eyes, they now wait impatiently and with great anticipation for the result… We hope to carry the colors of Castelnaud all the way to Ireland. Come, we believe!
