LONDON (Reuters) – Britain’s parliament on Thursday said it would discuss a bill that would allow the government to unilaterally amend certain provisions of the Northern Irish Brexit protocol with the European Union.
The Northern Ireland Protocol Bill, which was introduced in Parliament earlier this month, will go through several legislative stages on Monday afternoon in the first full parliamentary debate on the file.
The UK government’s plans to change the Northern Ireland protocol led to a new diplomatic dispute with the European Union, which launched two new infringement proceedings against London last week.
