Boris Johnson is set to announce plans for a new three-tier system when the lockdown ends on December 2.

At 3.30 pm today, the Prime Minister will present his “Covid-19 Winter Plan” to the House of Commons, which will include details on how families can spend time together this Christmas.

He will be joined by Professor Chris Witty, Chief Medical Officer of the United Kingdom, and Andrew Pollard, Director of the Oxford Vaccine Group.

The new rules will see a strict three-tier system of local controls in England to control the virus.

It is hoped that the current restrictions will allow shops and gyms to reopen when they are no longer needed.

The current 10pm curfew for pubs, restaurants and bars will be lifted, allowing people an extra hour to finish their food and drinks.
