This year the Ireland squad for 2025 will see a slight change. The winners of the last 6-nation tournament must change coaches from 1 December 2024 to the 2025 summer tour. Because Andy Farrell must be focused on his role as coach of the British Lions in preparation for their upcoming summer tour of Australia in 2025.

The role of interim coach of the Clover XV will be handed to Simon Easterby, who has already been on the Irish selection staff since 2014. He has been in charge of the forwards and today looks after the defence. Prior to Ireland, Easterby had two seasons on the Scarlets staff.
