Another 125 were hospitalized and 31 died

The Directorate-General for Health (DGS)’s Epidemiological Bulletin reports that 21,917 new Kovid-19 cases have been confirmed in Portugal in the past 24 hours. There are 31 more deaths related to SARS-CoV-2 infection, according to this Monday’s report (January 17).

There are currently 1938 people in hospital (125 more) due to Kovid-19, of which 174 (6 more than yesterday) are in the intensive care unit.

The rate of SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 infection is on the rise, with 3840 cases per 100,000 inhabitants nationwide this Monday.

Last Friday, the last count, there were 3813.6 cases per 100,000 residents nationwide and 3796.0 cases in the mainland.
