Annie Endofunsu (Ireland): I returned to Europe to be closer to nature and my people.

Published on

Since childhood, Annie Endofunsu dreamed of speaking English and discovering the world. Fascinated by the series in the original subtitled version (much to the dismay of her sisters), she actually secretly nurtured her desire to live abroad. This dream took shape when she took the opportunity to go on a university exchange to North Texas during her studies.

But a few months were not enough to quench the thirst for adventure. Her path then took her to Vancouver on Canada's west coast for a year. A decade later, Anne found a new life in teaching with her husband, a European from Ireland.

The decision to move to Ireland emerged in the wake of Covid-19, driven by a desire for a more authentic life. With foresight and thanks to online professional opportunities, despite logistical and cultural challenges, Anne and her family found a new life in this new life project in Ireland.

Annie Ndofunsu, a nomad at heart, opens for us today the doors of her life's journey full of travels, discoveries and challenges. Set up in a renovated house in the Midlands and the Irish countryside, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, she adapted to life with young children without electricity or running water and learned the basics of work. A great challenge, but an unparalleled adventure that could not overcome the young lady's radiant smile.
