The new partnership between Amazon and Sky, which has just been announced, will last for years. The Amazon Prime video app is available on Sky Q, Sky Tickets, and now on TV devices from December 14th. Now TV is a service from Sky (e.g. in Great Britain, Ireland and Italy), not to be confused with a streaming service called TVino from the RTL Group. Additionally, Sky Tickets will be available on Fire TV devices and related smart TVs in Germany in the first half of 2021.
“We & # 39; re pleased to be able to make our Prime Video app available on Sky Q, TV and Sky Ticket devices over the holidays“So Jay Marine, Vice President Prime Video World Wide. “Winter is at an angle, and our much-anticipated ‘The Wilds’ series is coming soon – the best time for Sky users to enjoy our award-winning prime video series, movies, and live sports, with exclusive live broadcasts of 20 games in the UK’s premium video in Great Britain this December. With the launch of TV and Sky Tickets now on Fire TV, it has never been easy for users to decide what and how to watch.“
Stephen van Rouen, EVP & CEO UK & Europe Sky:This year Sky Q customers will receive a Christmas gift in the form of Amazon Prime Video on their receivers. Anyone in need of a new series of feeds after Sky Atlantis has been undone on the Atlantic Ocean can switch directly to ‘Boys’ on Prime Video without leaving the Sky Queue. Prime Video TV series, movies, and other content will be shown along with Sky Originals, Netflix content, apps like YouTube, and more. This makes it much easier for users to get all the entertainment they love in one place. I’m glad this deal gives more people access to our best TV and Sky Ticket apps on Amazon Fire TV devices.“
