All the James Bond Films Are Coming to Streaming

Published on

With the Daniel Craig era of James Bond concluding with 2021’s seismic No Time to Die, the massive British film franchise finds itself in a state of flux. Eager fans are now constantly wondering who will be the next actor to step into those shiny polished shoes, and it seems like a different name is bandied about every day. It also appears that one of the leading fan-favourite choices to take over the tuxedo has now declared themselves not interested, as Idris Elba was recently reported saying that he didn’t want to succeed Craig.

In the meantime, though, there’s been a revelation that should put a massive smile on every Bond fanatic’s face. This is because the popular streaming service, Amazon Prime Video, has just announced that it will be the new home of every single James Bond flick. Yup, that’s right, soon you’ll be able to stream all 25 entries of the spy series, all the way from its 1962 debut, Dr. NO, to the previously mentioned No Time to Die. They will be available in a variety of regions, including the US and the U.K.

Amazon paid a whopping $8.5 million in 2021 to acquire MGM, which is the movie studio that has produced every Bond flick since they first appeared on the screen back in the 60s. Jeff Bezos’ company will have all the films on their streaming service for the first time due to the Bond franchise’s upcoming 60th anniversary celebrations, which will commemorate one of the longest-running movie series of all time.

There will also be a new documentary that will be hosted on Prime Video called The Sound of 007, which will be a fascinating deep dive into the incredible music that has powered the series for six decades. There will be interviews with many of the powerhouse recording artists who have made a mark on the franchise down the years including Tina Turner, Paul McCartney, and Billie Eilish. It will also feature insights into how each soundtrack was composed, including how one of the most iconic movie songs of all-time was made.

On top of that, you will also be able to catch a video recording of a live charity concert organised especially for the celebration entitled The Sound of 007: Live From the Royal Albert Hall. This amazing spectacle will feature the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, as conducted by Nicholas Dodd, and will be a feast for the senses, as Bond themes from many films are given the orchestral treatment. There will also be guest appearances from noted musicians, including Garbage and Celeste, plus it will even be headlined by the absolute legend that is Dame Shirley Bassey.

If you want to work your way through all 25 films, and why wouldn’t you, then Amazon Prime Video have been reported as saying that they’ll only be up there for a limited time. Although annoyingly, they don’t seem to have yet specified exactly when the films will be removed from the streaming service, meaning hopefully you’ll have enough time to get your full Bond fix.

So, whilst you wait for the Bond producers to choose who the next actor for the role is, don a tuxedo, fire up your classic Aston Martin DB5, grab a shaken, not stirred, Martini, and maybe even play a few rounds of baccarat at a Monte Carlo casino, to get yourself in the right frame of mind to enjoy reliving every step of Bond’s history in front of your TV.

Wherever you are in the world, there will be a website that caters to your country. For instance, New Zealanders just need to head over to Casino Reviews, which has all the most recommended no deposit casino bonuses and free spins for Kiwis all in one place.
