All four German women won World Cup gold in Roubaix

Roubaikes (DPA) – The German women’s track cycling team won the World Championships in pursuit of their own strength, thus winning the best triple gold at the Olympics, European Championships and the World Cup.

The quartet, comprising Francisco Bruce, Lisa Brenauer, Mike Kroger and Laura Semilch, defeated rivals Italy by a clear margin in 4: 08.752 minutes on Thursday evening, thus completing a comprehensive dominance that began with a qualifying victory. They overtook Ireland with a semi-final victory.
