LThe resulting political melodrama From Liz Truss Thursday, October 20, was a source of much tension. Notably, a Channel 4 star presenter was kicked off air after he was recorded insulting a minister. Krishnan Guru-Murthy interviewed Northern Ireland Secretary of State Steve Baker and laughed after the interview: “What an ass! The remark was recorded on air-air and immediately sparked controversy on social media.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy quickly apologized to Steve Baker. “After a powerful interview with MP Steve Baker, I used a very offensive word in an off-air spotlight moment,” he tried to explain. Twitter. “This speech falls below my self-imposed standards and I apologize unreservedly,” he added. But the channel said the anchor’s outing on Thursday violated its “strict” code of conduct and would keep him off air for a week.

Another reporter, ITV’s head of politics, Robert Peston, made a slip when he renamed the new finance minister, Jeremy Hunt, “Jeremy Cant” (Jeremy Ashole).
