A 40-year-old man has been killed in an attack in Dublin in September

A 40-year-old man has died in hospital after being seriously injured in an incident at Seville Place in Dublin on Wednesday morning, September 2.

He was rushed to the maternity hospital by ambulance with serious head injuries. The death occurred this morning.

His body was transferred to Dublin City Morge. The post-mortem examination was conducted by the State Pathologist’s Office. Heidi is Ockers.

Preliminary results of the post-mortem have been provided to the Garda, the details of which cannot be released for “functional reasons”.

An investigation is underway into the incident and all the circumstances surrounding his death. No arrests have been made so far in the case, but Garda is pursuing a more thorough investigation.

The Investigation Guard is renewing their request for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. They request that camera footage (including dash-cams) from the area be made available to any road users at that time.
