Low to the ground. Reusable. Affordable. Slex is effective. Crew focused. These were some of the selling points from the space company Dynamics as NASA unveiled the complete model of the human landing system being developed for the Artemis lunar missions.

The lander has a cylindrical center structure that can be used as a lunar habitat, or even built in the shape of a rover detached from the main lander.

Dynamics on Tuesday shared a video of the test article, which includes an insight into the stunning spacious interior.

“The focus of the test article is on the crew interfaces, enabling the team to test the crew’s functions within the module.” Dynamics said in a statement. “Flexible design can be easily rearranged, allowing the Human Systems Integration Team and Flight Crew to review early feedback designs, provide feedback and implement quick-turn repetitions.”

Dynamics is one of the many companies competing for the honor of taking NASA astronauts safely to the moon.
