Google has pulled out of talks to lease a seven-story office building under construction in Dublin’s Docklands.

He will send news through the Irish Commercial Property Zone about the impact of the expected change on the top people working from home even after the end of the Kovid epidemic.

Alphabet Incorporated Google has “decided not to lease the sorting office,” a spokesman for Bloomberg News confirmed.

Google’s decision not to add to Dublin’s office space reflects the belief among business leaders that more employees will be able to work from home in the future as a result of their experience during the Covid lockdown. Ulster Bank has suspended the search for a new Dublin headquarters this summer to re-evaluate what it believes are the new Covid space requirements.

In July, Google CEO Sundar Pichai told employees that the majority of the global workforce of 200,000 members will have the opportunity to work from home until the end of June 2021.

Any withdrawal from the traditional office would be a major blow to the commercial property sector, most of which is backed by pension funds, and the super-high-spec, which has radically changed over the past decade, will focus on the construction of large-scale, centrally located offices, as well as large-scale digital economies of foreign direct investment.

Google itself helped initiate the change with a 2011 deal to buy the Montevotro building on the Grand Canal in Dublin for $ 99.9 million.

The Sorting Office, a high-quality, 18,766-square-meter property being developed by Pat Green’s Marlet Group on the site of a post’s former Cardiff Lane sorting office, is large enough to accommodate 2,000 employees.

It is located close to the Montevotro building, Facebook’s headquarters, and the Board Guys Theater in Dockland, Dublin.

Google has been in talks to lease the offices since October. The technology giant is located near the current campus on Barrow Street. When Pandemic started, it employed about 8,000 employees in offices with workplaces, canteens and leisure facilities. Including an onsite swimming pool and gym.
