National Hurricane Center: Three tropical waves develop in the Atlantic Ocean

Published on

Rally – National Hurricane Center Three tropical waves are observed in the Atlantic storm basin, at least one of which is likely to turn into tropical depression.

The tropical wave is located above the East Atlantic Ocean. This is currently a group with unorganized rain and thunderstorms, but it could be more by next week.

This system moves west-northwest into the mid-Atlantic Ocean. There it will run to more favorable conditions for strengthening and organizing into a more robust system.

There is a 50 percent chance that the storm will turn into a tropical depression within two days. There is a 90 percent chance that the storm will turn into a tropical depression within the next five days.

Other systems in the Atlantic region have only a 10 percent chance of developing in the next five days

The third system is still in Africa. Long-term forecasts give this system a chance to form, but not until the middle or end of next week.

Developing multiple systems simultaneously is not uncommon this year. Mid-September is the peak of the hurricane season.

However, this hurricane season is more active than usual. The record-breaking 2005 hurricane is fast approaching. The following tropical storms were first recorded in their first letters: Cristobal, Edward, Fe, Gonzalo, Hannah, Isaiah, Josephine, Kyle, Laura, Marco, Nana, and Omar.
