Trump asks Fox to shoot reporter over veterans flop

US President Donald Trump has demanded the firing of a Fox News national security correspondent after the Republican leader confirmed his claim that he had insulted the military – a bomb that had been holding him for two days.

Trump was on fire after Atlantic magazine reported that sailors killed in World War I were called “losers” and “suckers.” When a visit to a U.S. military cemetery in France in November 2018 was skipped

The detailed weather of that missed visit was bad weather.

Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin said two former administration officials had confirmed to her that the president did not want to honor those killed in the American war at the Aisne-Marne Cemetery outside Paris, indicating that the weather was not a factor.

An official told her that Trump had used the word “suckers” to defame the military, but in another context related to the Vietnam War.

“When the president spoke about the Vietnam War, he said, ‘This is a ridiculous war. Someone who went was a sucker,'” she said, quoting an unnamed official.

“It simply came to our notice then. He does not understand why someone is dying for their country, it is not worth it, ”officials said.

Outraged, Trump tweeted last night: “Jennifer Griff should be fired for this kind of reporting. We were never called in for comment. @ Fox News is gone!”

Trump himself defended himself strongly in the context of The Atlantic news, tweeting and retweeting the news, denouncing it as fake news.

Fox News, Trump’s friendly heart, has been criticized for replacing Miss Griffin’s reporting on story coverage. Today, a headline on its front page reads: “Source dispute claims Trump’s mixed visit to military cemetery over slander of slain soldiers”.

She was publicly defended by several colleagues of MS Griffin of Fox, including Republican Congressman Adam Kinsinger.

Just before the Atlantic published its story, a survey by the Military Times and the Syracuse University Institute for Veterans and Military Families found that 37.4 percent of active-duty officials supported Trump’s re-election bid, and 43.1 percent supported Joe Biden.
