The Packers did not take a wide receiver as a quarterback in the first round Aaron Rogers Expected in April but the growth of the returning member of the team will help Rogers deliver what they thought Missing in position.

Marquez Valdes-Scanling Appearing in 16 games for the Packers last season, the 452 yarder caught 26 passes and two touchdowns, and those modest numbers are seen as wide out of the need to go into the off-season. His actions this summer have given him some optimism about what he can do in his second year at the helm of head coach Matt Laughlour.

Rogers said Wednesday that Valdes-Scanling is ahead of the team’s other receivers.

“I would say the receiver that attracted me the most, especially last week or 10 days, was Camp Marquez,” Rogers said via PackersNews.com. “I think he has had some good training on a regular basis and started writing down some good training basics that he can lean on. At the same time, I know Matt said this at one point, which is the new standard for MVS. I’m proud of the way he thought about his business. I thought he had a wonderful Sunday, a bunch of plays, some plays, some plays he had to produce. Now he makes the expected catches, and he adds some extra drama in there, where he does some great things and shows growth, so I’m proud of MVS. ”
