The Belgian phalanx didn't disappoint again on Irish soil last weekend, beating Ballinasloe (47-10), Mo Rugby (36-5) and North Kildare (19-7 ) against the scrum and easy wins over Coke (47-0) in the quarter-finals.

The Barbarians came close to the feat with a narrow two-point (24-26) semi-final defeat against Fat Gues in a 15-a-side game in Leinster League Division 2C. “This cup semi-final against the eventual winners of the event is a great performance”Waterloo manager Thierry Massinon comments.

The next outing will be during the John Jones Montreal Rugby 7's from September 4th to 8th. This is the 13th participation in the Canadian tournament, and the selection, chaired by Waterloo resident Alain Gerard, has already won five times. “If there was only one Belgian from Leuven in Tullamore, I would manage a team with four Belgians coming from Namur to Montreal. Also, we are not changing the way we operate, and we are open to all rugby clubs from Walloon Brabant, Belgium. Before 2020 abroad, ASUB Waterloo and La Hulp If we had a lot of players from, from 2022 we have welcomed developing players from Ghent, Binche, Leuven, Namur, Boitesfort, Sognies, Kithuru and Anderlecht. Thierry Massinon is more specific.
