A few days before the Euros, Spain continued their preparations with a match against Northern Ireland. A chance for Luis de la Fuente to take some final tests before the match officially kicks off against Portugal's dominant Croatia in their final friendly this Saturday. On paper, this meeting looked very uneven, but Northern Ireland surprised everyone and opened the scoring. In his first opportunity, it was Daniel Ballard who put his head in the cage of the much shorter Unai Simon (second). This was enough to alert Spain directly, which immediately returned and opened it with ease. A true boss of this team, Pedri equalized with a superb strike from outside the area (12th). The Barca star was in all the right places. In the process, La Roja took advantage thanks to Alvaro Morata and a superb cross from Jesus Navas.

Lamine Yamal is still critical

A goal scored by the Atletico striker allowed him to join David Silva in fourth place among the selection's top scorers (35 goals). The team led by Rhodri in great form scored another goal. Pedri was again at fault after Nico Williams' excellent cross. It didn't stop there, as Fabian Ruiz also scored his goal on a great serve from Lamine Yamalin (4-1, 35).

After returning from the locker room, Spain calmly managed their advantage and even scored a new goal. After a high recovery from Lamine Yamal, Mikel Oyarzabal scored the final goal of this Spanish attack. A few days before their entry to the Euros, Spain is full of confidence and self-belief after a big win in the last match (5-0 against Andorra). Luis de La Fuente has reason to be happy.
