The email added that the company’s offices will be temporarily closed and access to all badges will be temporarily suspended to “help ensure the security” of employees and Twitter systems. “

The email concluded by acknowledging that it would be an “incredibly challenging experience” for workers.

From Thursday night into Friday morning, dozens of Twitter employees who had already been banned from their company email accounts before the planned layoff announcement began posting on the platform.
