Wiesbaden (ots) – The Volunta-Xchange program has been expanded to the Canadian Atlantic province of Newfoundland. Detailed information on general conditions, duration, services and prices can be found at www.volunta-xchange.de. Registrations are now possible.

Since 2004 DRK’s non-profit, socially committed student exchange in Hesse Volanda is now also possible in Newfoundland. Registrations are now welcome for the 2023/2024 academic year, which starts in August.

As part of the program, Volanda exchange students experience the Canadian school system from public schools. Places are available in many locations in the province of Newfoundland where Canadian partner organizations have been allocated. The program is ideal for anyone who wants to immerse themselves deeply in the special cultural mix of ‘newbies’ and bring with them a great deal of curiosity, flexibility and a willingness to adapt.

Experience Authentic Newfoundland: Warm Host Families and Social Responsibility

Host families are carefully selected by the local partner organization for Volanda participants in the student exchange. You will be personally visited and checked.

A special feature of the student exchange at the Red Cross subsidiary: after an adjustment phase, the participants volunteer for the community for a few hours a week – for example as part of a charity or social projects at school. This allows them to deepen their insight into the host country’s society.

Volanda also offers socially responsible high school programs in the most popular exchange countries, the USA, Ireland and Spain.
