The national team is eagerly awaiting the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying group draw on Sunday, October 9. 12:00 PM in Frankfurt.
Austria is drawn from Pot 2. Team boss Ralf Rangnick will follow the draw on site with the ÖFB leadership.
“We are excited to see what Sunday’s draw will bring us. But regardless of the opponents, our clear objective is to qualify for EURO 2024 and then play a good role in the tournament. If we progress based on our performance in the first three games in the Nations League, I am convinced we can do it,” Rangnick said.
A total of 53 national associations are participating in the draw. As the host of UEFA Euro 2024, Germany automatically qualified for the finals.
Following the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee, all Russian teams have been suspended until further notice. Therefore, Russia does not participate in the draw.
The 53 teams have been seeded according to the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League standings, into ten qualifying groups – seven groups of five and three groups of six.
The four UEFA Nations League finalists (“UNL Pot”) will be divided into five groups to participate in the UNL Finals in June 2023.

Pot 4: Georgia, Greece, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Faroe Islands, North Macedonia
Pot 5: Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Belarus, Lithuania, Gibraltar, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Malta
