A 62-year-old French hero Survived Thanks to an air bubble that formed on his boat in the Atlantic Ocean for 16 hours, after it capsized.
Laurent Camprubi, who left the Portuguese capital of Lisbon on Sunday and activated the distress signal on Monday evening, said his boat capsized 15 nautical miles (27.8 km) off the Cisargas Islands off the coast of northern Galicia. — West of Spain. Spanish rescue teams quickly identified the boat and made sure the skipper was alive (by firing shots from inside to alert the Cambrubi divers). Because the sea was too big to proceed with the rescue, operators deployed large floating balloons to keep the boat from sinking, and the intervention was postponed until the next day.
