After a long dry spell, the three-piece Irish band Cuckoo returned to Willinghendorf and played “Ireland Class” for the GWRS Willingdorf Award-winning teaching project. However, some things were different from the exciting concerts before the epidemic.
WILLINGDORF – With this concert of guests from Ireland, the new multi-purpose hall was also inaugurated musically. The band gained strength. About 80 students from 7th and 8th grades contributed to the opening of the song “The Ratlin Bog” by organizing and catering to a concert with their student company in Ireland at the end of June. . Linda Cullen, an Irish English teacher, singer and songwriter at GWRS, also tasted their talents. “Dos Mundos” brought Spanish sounds to the stage. The two skillfully built a musical bridge between different European countries.
Irish flair
Singer and guitarist Emon, Chris on bass, banjo, Matt and fiddle created a mixed crowd and created an Irish flair in the very first minute of their concert. More than three hours later, all the artists left several guests for the night with the song “Hallelujah”. School social worker Claudia Seyfried summed up with gratitude: “Everyone joined in.
