From June 23 to 26, 2022, the Grand Prix Events team will host the first edition of Sotheby’s International Realty CSIO DeVille’s Longline International Horse Pole, an inevitable new event in Normandy. In the program, Jan Roynt will design courses for a CSIO 3 *, a CSI 1 * and a CSI U25. There are expected to be no less than three hundred and fifty horses and two hundred riders representing twenty-three countries.
A semi-final of the Longines EEF Series
Sotheby’s International reality CSIO DeVille is a major show jumping event that is set to become a new and unavoidable event in Deauville, Normandy. Of course, this is the semi – final of the new European Nations Cup circuit, the Longines EEF Series. For the four days from June 23rd to 26th, the best riders will have the desire to shine their nation at the Longines International Horse Pole in Deauville. As a reminder, Level 3 *, the official international show jumping competition (CSIO) launched in 2020, is the successor to the former European Division 2 of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Series. It is divided into four European zones (North, South, Center, and West), consisting of thirty-eight national member federations of the European Equestrian Federation (EEF). Participating nations competed in eight qualifying events, with the final taking place in DuVille and Budapest before the semi – finals, and the final, taking place in Warsaw, Poland from September 8-11.
The series has been active for the past few weeks. In May, CSIO 3 * took place in Ugarhalne, where France thanked Maëlle Martin, Alexis Goulet, Swann Bourven and Alix Ragot for ringing the Marseillaise, and Cedric Hurel, Max Thirouin and Aurélien in Lisbon. Lero and Olivier Pero. In June, the qualifying stages for the West and North Zones were completed in Madrid and Drumman, respectively. In the West Zone, five countries – Ireland, Spain, Belgium, France and Portugal – qualified for the Duville semifinals. In the North Zone, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Denmark are the lucky ones.
Weekend highlights
One of the highlights of Sotheby’s International Realty CSIO Deauville will undoubtedly be the Longines EEF Nations Cup, which takes place on Friday from 3pm. The second unavoidable event of the weekend, the Grand Prix CSIO 3 * will take place on Sunday afternoon in the Normandy area of Sotheby’s International reality. The other two events will allow riders to qualify for this Grand Prix: Thursday afternoon at Prix de la Ville de DuVille (speed 1.45 m) and Prix du Haras de la Chase on Saturday afternoon (speed 1.45 m). In addition to sports, the event will offer a variety of activities for young people and adults every weekend, especially at the Horse Welfare Village, in collaboration with Raillife, where there will be numerous performances: osteopathy, shiatsu, animal communication, and more.
