Hungary gave Germany the next big surprise in Group A of League A. Against England, who had lost (1-0) at the start of the Nations League season, the outfielders were clearly 4-0 (1-0) in the second comparison. Freiberg professional Roland Salloy put Hungary ahead in the 16th minute. The “three lions” started tirelessly, but despite the optical superiority, they did not want to get anything countable. Instead, Hungary continued to be dangerous under rapid transition conditions, conceding Sallai’s second goal of the evening (70th) in the second half. Zsolt Nagy (80 ‘) and Daniel Gazdag (89’) followed the English, who finally surrendered and were shown a yellow-red card by John Stones (82 ‘). Four matches later, Hungary are one point ahead of the DFB-Elf for their second win in the group, which is dominated by Germany, Italy and England. Gareth Southgate’s all – star England squad remained below two points and found themselves on the relegation course with two games left in the group stage.
