For a racehorse, winning three Group I in a row is not easy, so gaining it on three different continents is no small feat. After a year of high success in the United States and Australia, it was built on a flat in France, at the Paris Long Champ Race Course by State of the Rest, the winner of Prix Gane, the first Group I of the season. This real globlotter, who has not competed since the end of October, won for the first time in France against the cream of the French Trobrades. The 4-year-old man confirms the respect of his coach Joseph Patrick O’Brien. “He’s the best horse in my stable,” says the Irish professional. The final race was held on October 23rd but I chose this Group I knowing that I liked the good ground as it was in good condition. ⁇

“He gave it all back”

State of the Rest, Shane Cross, is more deserving as it lacks a favorable course that runs through the third thickness, before facing the Pretty Tiger finish. “He behaved remarkably well given the circumstances of the race, and once again gave everything, continues to be the son of renowned coach Aidan O’Brien. Our main goal was to get a Group I in Europe, so we could not start well this year.
