A very specific climate pattern is at the origin of this next wave of mildness.

A phenomenon that originates on the other side of the globe

A major atmospheric river from Asia will flow into British Columbia this week. It is a narrow corridor of concentrated moisture in the atmosphere.

Its presence in western Canada will increase the high pressure located in the region next Thursday and Friday. It will then spread and cross the United States.

But a strong high current from the Pacific would flow into British Columbia and create a deep ravine in the west. Result: This tank will restore balance to the ridge where it will be setting up its quarters in eastern Canada.

15 degrees Celsius and above!

Until April 11, Quebec will be able to return to a more comfortable temperature. Mercury can reach 15 degrees Celsius in many places and exceed them.

Some forecasting models currently indicate that temperatures of 20 degrees Celsius are possible in areas of southern Quebec. If so, that would be the first year in 2022.

Some parts of Ontario, located in the southeastern part of the province, also benefit from hot days.

A return to normal

However, do not trade your boots too quickly for your shoes. Unfortunately, this wave of sweets will end in mid-April. Normally at this time of year, the maximum temperature is 12 degrees Celsius in Montreal and 7 degrees Celsius in Quebec. In addition, by mid-April, temperatures in southern Quebec typically hover around 10 ഡിഗ്രി C above 15 C.

So, at least in southern Quebec you will have to wait a few more weeks to clean your wardrobe. It should be remembered: the eastern part of the province returns to mild temperatures in early May, and snow is still possible in these areas in April.
