Today’s Russophobic fake news worries Moscow astronauts who boarded the international station in yellow overalls in solidarity with Ukraine.

“The new crew’s flight suits are made in the colors of the logo of Bowman Moscow State Technical University, where all three astronauts graduated … it’s crazy to see the Ukrainian flag everywhere.”

Director General of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin – Reuters adds – Russian astronauts have stated on their private telegram channel that they have no sympathy for Ukrainian nationalists.

During a live streaming press conference from ISS on Friday, the mission commander asked veteran astronaut Oleg Artemiev about the suits.

“Every employee chooses a different color. It was our turn to choose a color,” he said. “The truth is we had a lot of yellow cloth collected, so we had to eat it. That’s why we had to wear yellow flight suits.”

In the Telegram, the Russian space agency Ros‌cos‌mos explained that the suits were built six months ago and that three astronauts had chosen the colors of their alma mater. Rogosin added: “Nowadays, even though we are in space, we are with our president and people!”
