What’s going on there?
The new series is set in the 11th century, 100 years after the parent series The Vikings, Focuses on the adventures of some of the most famous Vikings ever to live: the legendary Leaf Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his sister Fredis Erikssdotter (Frida Gustavoson), and the ambitious Norse prince Harold Sigurdso (Leo Sutter). After rising tensions between the Vikings and the English royal family, the Vikings themselves fought for survival in the face of religious animosities (Christian and pagan).
So the series follows the legendary voyage of Leaf Eriksson, Freudis Irikzdottir, and Harald Hardroda (each of the original characters in the story) from their Danish islands to England and beyond, eventually leading to the infamous Stamford of 1066. .
The series is produced by Michael Hirst, head of art direction by Jeb Stuart. In total, 8 episodes are now available to watch on the digital platform.
