Ireland are currently second in the 2022 Six Nations tournament with 11 points, three points behind France’s XV. In the race to beat themselves in this edition after their apparent improved victory over Italy (57-6) at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, Andy Farrell’s team will have to further improve their level of play in their next two meetings.

“That game was really weird. At times we were a little careless. We have accomplished our goal, but it’s a bit disappointing that a team is reduced to 12 players, “said Clover’s XV coach, who did not fail to praise the bravery of the squad that pushed back its limits.

“The English are going to pose a great physical challenge to us”

The fourth day of the 2022 Six Nations tournament, March 12, will see England face off in Twickenham, offering a completely different challenge to Ireland.

“We know they will put a huge physical challenge on us. They like to put a lot of pressure on the ground on foot, as they have done in the last two seasons. They stood out well against Wales. They really dominated the first period and they fully deserved their half time lead. They will have time to think about how they can improve just like us, ”Andy Farrell insisted.
