On the way to the 24th edition of the Ocean Island International Book Fair – Ile d’Oessant

On Saturday, February 19, Isabelle Le Bal, President of the Cattle Association (Islands Culture, Arts, and Literature) hosted a meeting on the 24th edition of the Aus Island International Book Fair, which runs from Wednesday the 13th to Saturday, the 16th. July.

This year, the show revolves around three axes: the 100th anniversary of the publication in France of the novel “Ulysses” by the Irishman James Joyce on Easter Island, the 300-year-old discovery, and finally the invisible heritage of the islands. Brittany, especially in collaboration with the Oceans, Saints, Moline, and the Regional Natural Park of Armor. Authors who wish to compete for a prize can submit their work by May 1st.

Correspondence renewed competition

Like last year, the show is hosting a correspondence contest chaired by Yolande Boatquellen. Correspondence should not exceed four pages and should include two interlocutors.

Finally, as an experiment with the 25th edition, the show will offer reading in the gardens of the island. So beware of those who are willing to lend a garden for half an hour during the show.
