The largest asteroid is orbiting Earth, and our closest will be tonight at 22:51 and Wednesday, January 19th. Serbian Radio and Television reports that the asteroid is visible further north in the Andromeda constellation.

The asteroid was named 7482 (1994 PC1). It is estimated to be about 2.5 times taller than the Empire State Building in New York City. According to NASA, the asteroid has a diameter of 1,052 km and an orbital period of about 2.6 hours, and has been classified by the space agency as a dangerous asteroid due to its size and relatively close proximity to our planet.

When it originates near our planet, its distance is 1.98 million kilometers.

In 1994, the Australian astronomer Robert H. It is an asteroid discovered by McNaught, which orbits the Sun every year and seven months.

Every 47 years, even with a basic telescope, a large “astronaut” can be observed.

The next time it comes close to Earth is in 2105.

The asteroid travels at a speed of 70,515 kilometers per hour, and in the night sky it looks like a shooting star.
