Rugby: The All Blacks beat Ireland before facing the Blues

Published on

Bad day for New Zealand rugby. After the crushing defeat of world champions Black Fern, the men also fell to Ireland (29-20) against France (38-13).

What you need to remember

After an epic match, the Irish achieved this feat against the legendary All Blacks in Dublin. They were not rewarded for their strong commitment in the first period and after an attempt by Lowe (14th), they trailed at half-time (5-10). Twice, at the start of the second act, they returned to the opposing goal, with Keller (44) and Doris (51).

Frightened at the end of the game, the All-Blacks failed to find the back of the net in the 10th minute, but the score was only 23-17 when the Irish held on before two Carberry penalties at the end of the game. Do not set them free. This is the third time in history that the XV du Trèfle has won this glorious victory over the All Blacks.

Welcoming the New Zealanders next Saturday, the Blues warn: When facing a revenge team, they too will have to achieve this.

Number: 3

This is the third time All Black and Black Ferns have lost on the same day. Finally, three years ago, it was already up against the Blues and the XV du Trèfle.
