The head of Europe’s cheapest airline is adamant that only vaccinated passengers will be allowed to fly. Michael O’Leary, 60, says anyone who refuses to be vaccinated is a “fool.” More than that: your rights should be strictly limited.
As presented by Austria and considered by Germany, Ryanair’s CEO is opposed to a vaccination requirement. Instead, governments should “make life difficult” for people who refuse vaccination for no reason. O’Leary said in an interview with a British newspaper “The Telegraph”.
“If you have not been vaccinated, you should not be allowed to go to the hospital, you should not be allowed to fly, you should not be allowed to use the London Underground, you should not be allowed to go to the supermarket. Or pharmacy, ”demands the Irish businessman.
“Respect your right to be a fool”
O’Leary did not take his word for it – he claims to be a silent, vocal majority: “We recognize everyone’s right not to be vaccinated if he wants to. If you personally oppose vaccination it is a big government and pharmaceutical conspiracy and we respect your right to be a fool.
According to the Ryanair CEO, his airline expects to lose about 10 percent of its passengers in December due to omiciron. He expects the first few months of the year to weaken as restrictions remain in place or new measures are introduced.
O’Leary also criticized the UK government for panicking over the Omicron variant. Other European countries will not have the same concerns. (Case)
