Foreign Minister of France confronts Intersind

A delegation from the Inter-Union is currently being received by Foreign Minister Sebastian Lecornu, Martinique Prefect Stanislas Caselles and Serge Lechimi (CTM). On Tuesday, November 30, 2021, the 9th day of the conflict, the unions present their grievances to the Minister.

A delegation from Intersindical, which is leading the general strike in Martinique, was received at the prefecture on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

In front of them, the government is represented by Sebastian Lecorn, but also by the prefect Stanislas Caselles. CTM Executive Board Chairman Serge Lechimi was also present.

The procession of protesters was set up near the prefecture. Supporters wear red T-shirts and walk and sing while listening to the sound of drums and trumpets.

They cannot approach the meeting place, preventing the passage of a circle of gendarmes.

At the scheduled time for the meeting, all the demonstrators, one by one, approached the prefecture.

The delegation then entered the building and confronted state representatives to begin discussions.
