The Star Trek Discovery series has been withdrawn from Netflix, and the French public will no longer have access to Season 4. Consolation prize, Season 3 is available on Blu-ray today
Meanwhile Star Trek Discovery Returning to Paramount + in the United States this November 18th, we learn that ViacomCBS has breached its agreement with Netflix and that the series will no longer be available on the platform in other parts of the world. As of today, the first three seasons will no longer be available on Netflix and will not be available on Season 4.
ViacomCBS, which will launch Paramount + in Europe next year, has decided that the series will only be on their platform, but voila does not expect Paramount + to arrive in France yet. The UK, Germany, Ireland, Austria and Switzerland will be among the first European markets to broadcast Discovery on Paramount + in 2022.
This platform is currently available in North America (the series can be viewed on the CTV Science Phi Channel and Crave except Canada), Australia, Hungary, Russia and the Middle East.

This decision is a tribute to the international fans who supported the series on Netflix. This reduces broadcasting and forces viewers to subscribe to more platforms. For France it was over and the series was no longer available. This will obviously increase piracy and will not help the series.
Note the series Star Trek Picard And Star Trek Lower Desk Available on Amazon outside the United States. Who knows, ViacomCBS may decide to do the same in this series.
