Travelers on Interstate 5, a major highway on the West Coast of the United States that connects the border with Mexico to Canada, encountered an unusual situation this Friday afternoon (11/19): a rain of money. The incident happened after a powerful car door was opened in San Diego, California and notes were spread on the track.
A CHP police official told the San Diego Union-Tribune that anyone who took the money could be charged. “If most TVs don’t have a driveway on the highway, you can’t pick up TVs.” According to officials, a lot of money has already been returned.
Authorities have not disclosed the amount that fell from the vehicle or the amount recovered. But they pointed out that they had pictures of the voters. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the CHP allowed 48 hours to refund and avoid possible criminal proceedings. At least two people have already been identified and arrested.
