Colors of the motherland | Google’s urgent warning to owners of these phones: You will not provide 3 popular apps

Google has warned a group of mobile phone owners to block access to many of the company’s popular apps if the system is not updated from next September 27th.

By the boundaries, if you still have a device running Android 2.3.7 or earlier, Google will not allow you to sign in to your Google Account on that device until September 27th.

“As part of our ongoing effort to keep our users safe, we will not allow anyone to log in to Android devices with Android 2.3.7 or below until September 27, 2021,” Google said.

“If you log in to your device after September 27th, you may encounter usernames or password errors when trying to use Google products and services, especially the three most popular applications: Gmail, YouTube and the Maps app,” she added.

Details for preventing Android phone owners from accessing Google Apps

Android 2.3.7 was released about 10 years ago, but now with more than 3 billion Android devices, this change may affect more people than some of the older technologies.

So if you are using Android 2.3.7 or earlier after the September 27 deadline, you can still use some services GoogleDevices running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) will still be able to sign in to all Google Accounts even if you’ve signed in to your device’s browser, so if your old device can be updated, you may want to do so.
