Thiruvananthapuram: The University of Technology has announced that there will be no change in the B.Tech, M.Tech third semester examinations and MBA fifth trimester examinations to be held tomorrow.

The Vice-Chancellor said that there was a concerted effort to spread misconceptions among the students about the examinations being held and scheduled at the Technical University and that all students should be vigilant. MS. Rajasree informed. While offline examinations are conducted smoothly in other universities in Kerala, including the University of Health Sciences, some are urging students to disrupt and boycott examinations only at the Technical University.

The University of Technology has decided to conduct offline examinations as part of the general policy of all universities in Kerala as per the decision of the Vice-Chancellors’ meeting convened by the Minister of Higher Education. But the attempt is to attack the Technical University examination system alone.

The examinations have been rescheduled to ensure that the lessons are completed and the study periods are ensured. There is a special ‘Center Change’ system for students to appear for the examinations at the colleges nearest to their homes. In addition, the state government has issued an order giving preference to Kovid vaccination to technical university students.

The 100 mark examination was reduced to 70 marks and the duration of the examination was reduced from three hours to two and a half hours. 28 marks instead of 40 marks is enough to pass an exam. Special opportunity will be considered as their first chance for students who are unable to appear for the exam due to Covid or related issues. VC said that he was campaigning against such student-friendly exams. Said in a news release.
