Rally: Thank you for the victory in Estonia

Published on

A record that has exploded over 2 years. Kalle Rowanperi, who flew in Estonia for 20 years and 290 days, defeated Jari-Matti Latwala (his boss at Toyota), and the Swedish Swedish winner defeated the 2008 winner in 22 years and 313 days. Finn, the youngest winner of the WRC event, wrote a new page in rally history. Everything with style.

Rowanper, who took a huge lead after the first special on the second day on Saturday, did not collapse. Through the experience of an old man, the great hope of the Finnish rally in the second half of the event did not make even a small mistake, and was easily won.

Ogier to eighth crown

Craig Breen, the Irishman who is already second in the final edition of the Estonia Rally, does it again (+ 54′’8), still looking for his first victory in the elite at the age of 31. Belgian Theory completes another Hyundai podium in Newville (+ 1′14′’8).

Sebastian Ogier, a Frenchman trapped in fourth place (+ 1′34′’8), is doing well in the general classification. The championship leader finished just ahead of his closest ally, Welshman Elphin Evans (5th on 2-04′’7). The seven-time world champion also completed the power stage – with bonus points for the first 5 (5 points for the first, 1 for 5) – in third place, ahead of Evans. Gap native goes into the eighth WRC title, just one unit behind Sebastian Loeb.
