Expansion of the immune system in Israel

By July 10, when 57.3% of the population has been fully immunized, Israel will be encouraged to vaccinate some vulnerable people.

Professor Cyril Cohen, Director of the Immunotherapy Laboratory at Bar-Elan University in Tel Aviv, explained about the i24NEWS Prime Set:

“We already have a few cases: about 700 children have been vaccinated in Israel so far. This is one case at a time. It will continue,” he said. Cyril Cohen explains. “This is very important because we have children with very serious respiratory problems, transplanted children: they are very vulnerable children. For this, immunization is recommended, especially when you see the variant. Delta is spreading,” he added.

The professor also raised the possibility of giving a third dose to immunocompromised patients “if the immune system is weakened”. “But I don’t think it should be done in general,” he said.
