Group E: Belgium turn game against Wales, Czech Republic beat Estonia

Belgium beat Wales 3-1 (2-1). Harry Wilson gave Wales their first lead (11). But Kevin de Bruyne (22) and Thorgan Hazard (28) returned to play before the break. Romelu Lukaku then won 3-1 (73rd) on a penalty kick.

In Estonia, the Czech Republic won 6-2 (4-1). Estonia expect a surprise when Reno Sapinen leads (11). Patrick Schick (18), Antonin Barak (27), three-time Thomas Suzuk (32/43 / 48/48) and Jacob Jankto (56) ensured clear conditions. Henry Anier (86) scored Estonia’s second goal. The game took place in the Polish city of Lublin to overcome travel restrictions.

Group G: Netherlands with a wrong start in Turkey, Norway with a confession

Netherlands lost 2: 4 (0: 2) in Turkey, a bad start. Burak Yilmas (15 and 34 / penalty) gave Turkey the lead before the break. Soon after the resumption, Hakan Calnoglu rose to 3-0 (46). The Dutch struggled for a long time, but then their hopes were dashed: Davy Klaassen (75th) and Luke de Jong (76th) were shortened. Once again, Burak Yilmas made it clear: he secured Turkey’s opening victory with a free kick in the 81st minute. Memphis DePay (90 + 5) misses a penalty for the Netherlands.

Norway beat Gibraltar 3-0 (2-0). Alexander Sarloth (43.), Christian Thorswet (45.) and Jonas Svensson (57.) met. It has called for a boycott in Norway in view of human rights abuses in Qatar. The association is not yet interested in following this, but the team used the game in Gibraltar for a message.

New captains Martin Edegard and BVB striker Erling Holland and their teammates wore white T-shirts with the inscription on the warm-up before the match against Gibraltar. “Respect – on and off the pitch” (Respect – on and off the pitch). Later they had shirts similar to the letters of the national anthem “Human Rights – On and Off the Pitch” (Human rights – on and off the field).
