Tournament: England lose again, beat Ireland

Published on

One week after their defeat to France, England, who dominated Ireland (32-18) on Saturday, the final day of the fifth day of the Six Nations tournament, will finally end.

Eddie Jones’ men, who dominated the scrum, enjoyed most of the match, facing a team from Ireland solidly in their victory and reality, but finished 14th after eliminating Bundy Aki.

Competing for the final victory, Wales and France lost their first two shootings, ending Clover’s XV with a record of three wins and two defeats.

Mainly thanks to their pack, in which CJ Standard played his last selection match for his 51st cape, the Greens nurtured their victory and fined their opponents several times.

In a no-brainer, Ross’s 16th-half coach Hooker Luke Cowan-Dickey and columnist Mako Vunipola decided to bring in Jamie Jorge and Ellis Zeng to stop the bleeding. With very relative success.

But Ireland made a difference in its sense of realism about the highlights.

Thanks to tests from Keith Earl, a good solo number (10-3, 23) and Jack Conan (20-6, 37th) made the hole.

With the very reliable boot of Johnny Sexton, author of 22 points, the gap widened to 20 points (26-6, 61st), with Bundy Aki in the middle avoiding a dangerous tackle on the head.

England soon had the opportunity to register an attempt by Ben Young and restore a match of suspense (26-11, 63rd).

But Sexton still responded by adding 6 points to the leg (32-11, 73rd).

Connor Murray’s yellow card was reduced to 13, and Johnny May’s (32-18, 78) registered England’s second attempt, but for the first time since 1976 they had only a poor showing for the losing team to Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Without motivation, without discipline, without a clear understanding of the concept of guidance, it is possible to criticize Eddie Jones two years after the World Cup in France, for which England were one of the big favorites a few weeks ago.
